Terms of Reservation summer and autumn 2024

Week program is valid 16.06.-30.09.2025 (weather permitting). All excursions are on request.

Fat Bike excursions

Minimum height to participate fat bike excursion is 150 cm.

Canoeing and Fishing tours

Swimming ability required. On Fishing tours participants need to be min. 140 cm tall.

General

The minimum group size is 2 persons, if nothing else mentioned.

Booked activity must be cancelled three (3) days before the activity by 12.00 by email: info@destinationlapland.com. The cancellation fee is 10 %. For cancellations later than three weekdays before the activity, the total fee of 100 % will be charged.

Destination Lapland Oy reserves the right to alter any tour due to weather conditions or the safety of the customers. Once a booking has been made, Destination Lapland has the right to raise the agreed price in the event of any changes in the taxes or public charges affecting the price of the service. Prices include V.A.T.

The terms and conditions of Destination Lapland Oy apply for all bookings. In case of disagreements, the parties shall first and foremost attempt to resolve any disputes arising from this agreement via bilateral negotiations. If no reconciliation is achieved as a result of such negotiations, the disputes shall be settled by the district court of Destination Lapland´s domicile.

Terms of reservation winter 2024-2025

Lapland Snow week program is valid from 08.12.2025-12.04.2026 (weather and trail conditions permitting).

Snowmobiling Safaris

The driver of the snowmobile has to be min. 18 years old and posses a valid full driver’s license for cars. Please note that drivers need to be able to show the driving licence before a snowmobile safari, and during the safari if requested. All snowmobile safaris include the use of snowmobile, fuel, thermal outfit, maintenance, insurance and guide service. Maximum personal liability is 1200 €.

Children 4-14 years old: -50% travelling in a sleigh. Children up to 14 years old travel always in the sleigh. Children under 4 years old are not recommended to participate on snowmobile safaris.

Person participating in snowmobile safari without a pair, cannot book shared snowmobile, they will be automatically charged single driving price.

Husky Safaris

To be able to steer your own husky team the driver must be minimum 18 years old. Children under 8 years old are allowed only to ‘Husky farm visit and sleigh safari’. Children under 3 years old are not allowed to participate to any husky safaris. Child discount of -25% for children 3-12 years (8-12 years). Participants of full day husky safaris minimum 18 years old. If there are groups with an odd number of participants on the husky safari, those without a pair share a dog sled with someone from another group.

Snowshoe Safaris and Cross country ski school

Child age 7-12 yrs. Child discount -30%.

Reindeer Safaris

Visit at a reindeer farm: children 4-12 years old -50%,children 2-4 years old are free of charge.

Reindeer ride in the wilderness: children 4-12 years old -25%.

Aurora Snowmobile Adventure and Wilderness Dinner at Äkäsmylly

Minimum participant amount 6 persons.

Aurora Snowshoe Adventure and Wilderness Dinner at Äkäsmylly

Children 7-12 years old -30 % discount. Minimum participant amount 6 persons.

Visit to Snow Village

Child age 4-12 yrs. Child discount -35%.

Fat Bike Excursions

Minimum height to participate fat bike excursion is 150 cm. No child discount. Minimum group size 2 persons.

Transfers

Transportation from the Destination Lapland -safari bus stops in Äkäslompolo is included in the price (pick up from Ylläsjärvi: 24€/person return, minimum 4 persons).

Safari cancellations

In case of a cancellation made by the tour operator 30 days before the beginning of the stay the advance payment (prepayment) and final payment is returned to the tour operator. If a cancellation is made later than 30 days before the beginning of the stay, the total participance fee is charged.

General

Reservations, changes and cancellations to the bookings must be made no later than 16.00 the previous day. The minimum group size is 4 persons, if nothing else mentioned. Husky and snowmobile are not suitable for pregnant women or persons suffering from back, hip, leg or wrist problems.
